We ran across this presentation by David Gillespie featured on the Slides that Stick blog (an excellent resource for good PowerPoint presentation tips and ideas) and wanted to share this well-done vision of where the internet is and where it is going.

This supports much of what we are experiencing day to day, give us some new things to think about, and impressively packs lots of ideas into an easy-to-absorb presentation.
Notable highlights:
- "The future is data + meaning." Meaning to the possessors of data, certainly. But more importantly, meaning to the contributors. Sorry, but Supercrunchers got this wrong.
- "Don't compartmentalize. Nobody lives like that." Dead-on observations about the increasingly absurd concept of "digital media" or "digital marketing". It's all digital. At one point I'm sure people talked about "electrified businesses", too.
- Best insight: Quote from Mark Earls. "We see influence (what folk do to each other on our behalf) where emulation (of what folk around us are doing) is the real mechanic behind the spread of human behavior."
